LANACO and AmCham BiH Launch a New Chapter of Cyber Resilience in Bosnia and Herzegovina
On October 8 and 9, Sarajevo hosted a two-day program dedicated to cybersecurity, bringing together leading business and technology leaders, institutional representatives, and international experts with a shared goal: strengthening the digital resilience of the domestic economy.
Strategic Responsibility of Leaders
The first day featured the conference Cybersecurity: The Strategic Responsibility of Leaders for a Secure Future, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AmCham BiH). The event gathered more than 200 participants, including key decision-makers, IT professionals, and representatives of leading companies.
Through a series of expert presentations and panel discussions, participants addressed the latest threats and innovative protection methods, with a particular focus on the role of leaders in building secure and responsible business systems. The conference raised awareness of the strategic importance of cybersecurity for the sustainability of both the public and private sectors and laid the groundwork for continued discussions on corporate resilience that followed the next day.
Cyber Resilience as a Pillar of Modern Corporate Strategy
On October 9, LANACO, in cooperation with AmCham BiH and the Cyber Readiness Institute (CRI) from New York, organized the event Cyber Resilience as a Critical Segment of Corporate Strategy in the 21st Century. The event further deepened the discussion on how cyber resilience is becoming a core element of business strategy.
This event officially marked the launch of the Local Chapter Program, an initiative developed by LANACO and CRI that provides companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a practical, internationally recognized framework for strengthening security culture, standardizing processes, and building resilience to cyber threats.
Through two panel discussions—Empowering the Human Firewall: Turning Vulnerability into Strength and Strengthening Cyber Readiness: Local and Global Perspectives—a dialogue was opened between the business community and global leaders on the importance of a strategic approach and collaboration in the field of cybersecurity. Local companies shared concrete examples of challenges and risks arising when organizations lack long-term protection plans, while experts from Microsoft and CRI spoke about the experiences of large systems and the importance of every link in the security chain. The discussions confirmed that cyber resilience is a strategic imperative that directly shapes trust and competitiveness in the market.
The event was also marked by the world premiere of HyperBUNKER, a unique data protection system that sets a new standard in digital security. Thanks to patented offline technology and complete data isolation, HyperBUNKER provides the highest level of protection for critical business information. Its global debut in Sarajevo demonstrated that initiatives led by local IT leaders are placing Bosnia and Herzegovina on the global map of digital security.
Through joint efforts, LANACO, AmCham BiH, and the Cyber Readiness Institute have opened a new chapter in the development of cyber resilience in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two-day program showed that domestic companies are taking cybersecurity increasingly seriously, while LANACO once again confirmed its role as a leader and driver of change in IT security and digital transformation.
