Students from five Banja Luka faculties, in cooperation with mentors, representatives of LANACO and GotSolution, are in the process of creating ideas that will contribute to the achievement of SDGs with the help of technologies.
The IT sector has a significant potential to contribute to sustainable development, given that focused IT investments can increase economic growth, work efficiency, contribute to higher employment, and increase the overall quality of life.
Collaborathon Bring IT is held for two days. The first day of this event was held at the LANACO Technology Center where experts and representatives of the IT sector delivered lectures and motivational speeches to the participants with relevant and necessary knowledge. On the second day of the event, in the working and inspirational environment of the Coworking Space Qlab students are working on developing ideas with the support of a mentor.
The best idea will be rewarded with valuable prizes aimed at providing support in the realization of the idea. The winning team gets the opportunity to present the idea to investors in the region, money prize, laptop, video and marketing support, as well as a month of using space for work, and mentoring in the realization of the idea.
Six teams have been formed today, consisting of students from the Faculty of Economics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and tomorrow, the elaboration of ideas, presentation in front of the jury, announcement of the best ideas and awards
Bringing IT on the joint forces is realized by the United Nations Volunteer Office in BiH (UNV), as the main sponsor of the event, and Bit Alliance, as a partner of the project, with the member companies LANACO, Got Solutions and Mania.
